At Bramble Bugs we adopt a Steiner-influenced approach to childcare which focuses on nurturing children in a natural way. We aim to create a place where children have fun, feel loved and are given a secure base from which they can grow into happy, free-thinking individuals.

This is done by:

• focusing on the needs of the whole child – academic, physical, emotional & spiritual
• developing a love of learning by engaging the imagination & promoting hands-on artistic activity
• creating a beautiful, tranquil environment where the rhythm of the day promotes calm & children can become totally absorbed in their play
• spending much of each day outdoors learning about the natural environment & it’s changing seasons

Bramble Bugs is an Ofsted registered childminding service committed to delivering high standards of childcare and learning. It is also a member of the ‘Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years’ (PACEY); an organisation which supports and promotes best practice amongst childcare professionals.

About us

Family
My name is Yuta and I live in Belmont, Hereford with my husband Toby and our two boys Ro and Temy. We moved to Hereford in 2013 in order to enjoy the wonderful countryside, be closer to our meditation centre and enable our children to attend the Steiner Academy in Much Dewchurch.

Working with children and families has been my speciality for over 18 years. I trained as a nursery nurse in my late teens and spent several years working for the Child Protection Team in the Local Authority before becoming a lecturer in Childcare & Education at the Chiltern College in Berkshire. I’m also a qualified Yoga Teacher and have enjoyed teaching mother and baby yoga classes in the local community.

Being a mum has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life so far – I love it! I’ve also adored working with children and have enjoyed the challenges and rewards this brings. I now feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to run a home based childcare setting of my own, applying all that I’ve learnt to create a place where children have fun, feel loved and are supported to build happy memories and a secure foundation for their future.
